Mr. P. Ravi Chandran
RAVICHANDRAN P. (M.B.A., D.B.A., B.A., Dip. F.D.,), is a designer and patternmaking, specializing in both Menswear & Womenswear. He has worked in the Apparel and Fashion Industry for the past 20 years, designing clothes for the Kannada Film Industry and teaching in leading Fashion Design Institutes.
He has done several Entrepreneurial Development Programmes and Skill Development Programmes for Women’s Organizations. He has also done Product Development Training for Executives at Export Houses like Shahi and Manpho and has been a Product Consultant for several Handloom Corporations
He has written articles on patternmaking in several magazines, including Anchor & Thread and Mayura and conducted workshops on Patternmaking in several institutions. He has attended seminars and workshops and has been selected as subject expert in the skill of Fashion Technology, having visited Leipzig, Germany as part of the World Skills Competition team.
He has taught Pattern Making and Draping courses in NIFT, Bangalore and has taught modules at NID, Ahmedabad. At present, he teaches Advanced Patternmaking, Apparel Production & Draping at AIFD.
